Summary
The Bartender takes guest orders politely and effectively, using the opportunity to suggestively sell food and beverages without pushing the guest.
- Thoroughly knows and consistently follows all of Jean George and The Hermitage Hotel’s service basics, guidelines and standards. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Arrives on time and ensures that preparation is complete for a successful, smooth shift.
- Prepares and maintains the cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas. This includes pulling all necessary alcohol and storing it at proper temperatures.
- Has excellent knowledge of the menu items and all alcoholic beverages including techniques of preparation and unusual ingredients. This includes daily specials and wine List.
- Knows and understands the Tennessee Alcohol and Beverage Commission laws and obeys them by checking for proper identification when serving alcohol.
- Acts as guard of safety for all guests by not allowing over consumption of alcohol.
